A band that should've been huge, I think they supported Michael Monroe on the Not Fakin' It tour, but I could be wrong... It's all a bit hazy.

Hey dude,i was in a band called Rags To Riches in the late '80's.Hair metal, all that.Weren't Gunfire Dance from Oxford or somewhere?
ReplyDeleteThey supported us once in London somewhere-really nice guys-played dreadful live though.
No worse than we were i suppose.Neat blog, lots of stuff i'm really looking forward to listening to-Mamas Boys, now your talkin'.
Cheers dude,John.
Thanks dude! I remember your band, but don't think I ever saw you play... It's all a bit hazy! I saw Gunfire Dance a few time with Mike Monroe and the Dogs I think, the only fact I can remember about them is that apparently one of them had briefly played with Bauhaus? Glad you like the blog, I've got touring coming up so might get a bit patchy for uploads but keep checking back!
ReplyDeleteI'll put some photos up on my blog of the Rags.Pretty sure i've still got some of our demos somewhere.I'll dig them out and try to post them.
ReplyDeleteCheers,John.
Thanks for this post. I love Dogs D'Amour and Hanoi Rocks. It's nice to find other GOOD sleazy glam.
